Prior to connecting stainless steel ductwork to equipment—or, alternatively, once the equipment connection has been completed—prefabrication and installation should be carried out in strict accordance with the actual construction drawings. Regarding components, whenever ductwork is connected to equipment, separate and independent hangers must be installed; the equipment itself must not be utilized as a suspension point for the ductwork. Once the ductwork has been positioned, the double-rod hangers must be adjusted to ensure that the crossbeam remains level, the suspension rods are free of torsion, and the load is distributed evenly between the two rods.
Due to its superior physical and chemical properties—including excellent corrosion resistance, heat resistance, and high structural strength—finished stainless steel ductwork is primarily utilized in various exhaust systems that demand a high degree of airtightness. These applications encompass process exhaust systems, solvent exhaust systems, organic vapor exhaust systems, waste gas exhaust systems, the outdoor sections of general exhaust systems, humid and hot exhaust systems, and smoke extraction and dust removal systems.
