The resistive folded-plate silencer is a modified variant of the resistive vane silencer, characterized by internal sound-absorbing elements that are folded in a zigzag pattern. The acoustic performance of the folded-plate silencer primarily targets medium-to-high frequencies; its sound attenuation and pressure loss values—exceeding 22–25 dB(A)/m and 40 Pa/m, respectively—are greater than those of the standard vane silencer. It is suitable for use in the ventilation and air conditioning systems of industrial and civil buildings.
