Installation Guidelines for Wall-Mounted Axial Flow Fans
1. Floor-Mounted Installation:Secure the vibration isolators to the fan base using connecting bolts. Use adjustable leveling shims to fine-tune the horizontal height of each isolator. Finally, fasten the fan to the connecting steel plates—which have been pre-welded to the foundation—using anchor bolts. If, for reasons such as seismic resistance requirements, vibration isolators are not required, the threaded holes on the fan base may be connected directly to the bolts pre-embedded in the foundation.
2. Side-Wall Horizontal Installation:The basic installation requirements for side-wall mounting are identical to those for floor mounting; however, the mounting bracket is designed as an angled-arm support structure. This bracket must possess sufficient strength and rigidity. This installation method is generally not recommended for fans of size #10 or larger.
3. Suspended Installation: First, bolt the vibration isolators directly to the fan to form a single integrated unit; the isolators should be mounted symmetrically on both sides of the fan. Then, lift the fan assembly and insert it into the suspended mounting bracket. The height of the suspension bracket should be determined by the user based on actual spatial constraints. This installation method is generally not recommended for fans of size #16 or larger.
4. Vertical Installation: The procedure for vertical fan installation is consistent with that of floor mounting; however, the requirements regarding the strength and rigidity of the fan foundation are significantly more stringent.
5. Duct Connection: Flexible joints should be used to connect the fan to the ductwork at both ends. This serves to isolate vibrations and protect the fan unit.
