This device features a baffle at its lower end designed to prevent backflow when the fan shuts down; it operates based on the principle of airflow-induced self-locking. When airflow resumes within the duct, the valve flap is lifted, disengaging the self-locking mechanism and allowing ventilation to resume.
Residual pressure valves are typically utilized in air conditioning duct systems to prevent backflow following fan shutdown. They are recommended for use in applications where the airflow velocity is no less than 8 meters per second. When placing an order, please specify whether the unit is to be installed vertically or horizontally.
