A modular purification air conditioning unit is a type of air handling equipment assembled from various functional air treatment sections. It is suitable for air conditioning systems with a resistance exceeding 100 Pa. The unit's functional sections include air mixing, airflow equalization, filtration, cooling, primary and secondary heating, dehumidification, humidification, supply fans, return fans, water spraying, noise attenuation, heat recovery, and other modular components.
The modular purification air conditioning unit offers a total of 30 specifications covering airflow rates ranging from 3,500 m³/h to 200,000 m³/h, with 12 distinct functional sections available for users to freely select and combine. It is primarily applicable to air purification systems in various types of cleanroom facilities—such as industrial electronics plants, mechanical manufacturing plants, textile workshops, automotive paint shops, GMP-compliant pharmaceutical plants, cosmetics and food production facilities, ultrapure water workshops, hospital operating theaters, and ICUs—among many other settings.
In terms of structural configuration, the units can be classified into horizontal, vertical, and ceiling-mounted types. They can also be classified by specification, with the unit's basic size typically defined by its rated airflow capacity.
The selection and arrangement of functional sections within the purification unit must be determined based on specific production processes or the requirements of the cleanroom environment; this constitutes a fundamental design principle. Furthermore, the consolidation or omission of specific functional sections must be closely integrated with the overall design of the air-conditioned space.
It is imperative to strictly control potential points of microbial contamination within the purification unit. Given that the unit's internal structure, temperature, and humidity levels often create conditions conducive to the proliferation of bacteria and other microorganisms, components such as the casing, filters, silencers, and humidifiers can become potential sources of microbial contamination and must therefore be rigorously controlled. For instance, the unit casing should be free of damage and corrosion, resistant to disinfection agents, and possess excellent thermal insulation and airtight sealing properties; materials similar to those widely utilized in refrigeration appliances are suitable for this application. Additionally, the performance parameters of the filters must meet specified standards; components such as silencers and humidifiers must be designed to prevent the accumulation of condensate; and the interior of the unit should undergo regular cleaning or disinfection.
